Running out of hot water is no fun. What’s even worse is leaving an old tank to long before replacement and coming home to a wet basement floor because your old tank finally let go. Typically if you have gotten 10 years out of your tank it’s time to replace it. It’s only a matter of time before it springs a leak. You can tell the age of your hot water heater by finding the serial # and then go on the manufacturer’s website. Your water heater also loses its efficiency over time as calcium and hard water deposits build up on the bottom of the tank. Hot Water On-Demand
Never run out of hot water again We are your local experts on on-demand water heaters.
We have extensive experience installing and serving Navien, Rinnai, and IBC on-demand water heaters. On-Demand water heaters use a lot less energy than conventional hot water tanks because they are not keeping a large volume of water hot all the time regardless of whether your using water or not. On-Demand water heaters do exactly as it says in their name, they heat the water on demand. When you turn your tap on water starts flowing through a coil in the unit and a flow switch in the unit tells the unit there is water moving, this tells the unit to fire up and the gas burner heats the water as it flows through the coil on it’s way to your tap, once you shut your tap off, water is no longer flowing through your unit and the unit shuts down. With a properly installed on-demand water heater you will have trouble-free endless hot water.
Hot Water On-Demand Maintenance
Performing regular maintenance on your on-demand water heater will extend the life of your equipment and save you money due to costly breakdowns. The manufacturers recommend getting yearly maintenance done. During the yearly maintenance, we will clean air inlet screens, clean the inlet water filter, pull the burner out, clean it and inspect for any abnormal wear, we will do a flue gas analysis to ensure the unit is burning clean, we check the inside of your unit for any sign of leaks, we check your venting system and gas lines for leaks, and will provide you with a report of any concerns or issues that need to be addressed.
